HOW TO: VIEW COMMENTS By Others

Click on an ENTRY'S headline—the bold text in its upper left corner. You'll get the ENTRY with comments, if any. To return, click on the page headline—it says "Stock Clerk / Glossary: ... ," or on the current letter or symbol TAB in the blue banner..   [MORE...]

HOW TO: ADD COMMENTS Of Your Own

If necessary, scroll to the bottom of an ENTRY, then click on "# Comments" in its lower left corner. Next, enter your own COMMENT, being sure to review and/or edit before submitting. Once submitted, it cannot be changed or withdrawn, so please take care.   [MORE...]

Love it? Hate it? Have ideas for improvements? This is the place to view General COMMENTS about the GLOSSARY, or to add your own.

IMPORTANT:   If you have a COMMENT about a specific ENTRY, please attach your COMMENT there.

NOTE: Of necessity, all COMMENTS are MODERATED. Once you submit a COMMENT, I review it and decide whether or not to allow it to be displayed. I'm sure you understand why I have to do it that way.

n. Got a GROCERY something-or-other you can describe, but you don't know what it's called? This is the place! Leave a COMMENT telling us what it looks like, where you find it, how it's used, etc., and maybe someone else knows the proper term and can likewise leave the answer. Thanks in advance!

Suggestions/Nominations for NEW GLOSSARY ENTRIES Go HERE

Suggestions for NEW GLOSSARY ENTRIES {CLICK HERE}

Do you know more STOCK CLERK-related TERMS? This is the best place to suggest or nominate NEW GLOSSARY ENTRIES.

NOTE: However, before submitting an ENTRY, please ensure it is indeed NEW:
  1. First, double-check the GLOSSARY proper (TABS #, and A-Z)
  2. Next, check the NEW (+) TAB. If it's already there, you can still add your COMMENT to that provisional ENTRY, and I'll be happy to consider you as a possible co-contributor.
  3. Search the COMMENTS already attached here. Again, if you find a prior submission, your additions (on meanings, usage, application, etc.) may still qualify you as a possible co-contributor.
  4. Didn't find it? OK—Add it here!

Please remember that this process of gathering and making additions to the GLOSSARY is essentially unscheduled. It's a hobby of mine, yes, but not an obligation. So, please be patient if it seems like you're not getting immediate feedback. Whether or not I make any further updates at all, worthy suggestions made here will still stand as a record of your contributions. Thanks!

What else is important? You tell me. This is the place to view and/or make COMMENTS about things beyond the scope of the other GLOSSARY COMMENT categories.

TIP: COMMENTSDiscussion

TIP: COMMENTSDiscussion

Here in the GLOSSARY, Blogger's COMMENT facilities are not ideal for holding discussions. However, there's another way! Check out the Stockclerk Google group.

NOTE: COMMENTS here will typically deal with GLOSSARY-related issues only, and are essentially for PARKING ideas where they belong. They're kind of like “Post-Its®.” You know, you stick a little note up there, and folks read it, maybe, as they're passing by. (Of course, the GLOSSARY'S AUTHOR reads them all very carefully and responds appropriately.)

So, COMMENTS are great, but are not the way to go for conversation. In large part that's because they (COMMENTS) are of necessity moderated, and therefore have a built-in delay before they appear.

On the other hand, if you're looking for discussion, that's a little different. Discussions are all about dialog. Give and take. Conversation! For that, check out the Stockclerk Google group by clicking on “Visit this group” at left:
